Majok Tulba


Majok Tulba was born in South Sudan and came to Australia in 2001. In between he lived in refugee camps. His first novel, Beneath the Darkening Sky, won the 2014 Kathleen Mitchell Award, and in 2013 it was shortlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize, the Commonwealth Book Prize, and a New South Wales Premier’s Award. Majok Tulba was named one of the Sydney Morning Herald’s Best Young Novelists of the Year in 2013.
