Ruby Hamad


Ruby Hamad is a journalist and author who was born in Lebanon and raised in Australia. A former columnist at Fairfax, her writing has appeared in international mastheads The Guardian, Prospect Magazine and The New Arab, as well as local outlets Meanjin, Crikey and The Saturday Paper. Hamad was a contributor to the anthologies Defiant Daughters (2013, Lantern Books), and Arab-Australian-Other (2019, Picador). White Tears/Brown Scars (2019, MUP) is her first book.
