Biography

Robert Hillman’s novels include, A Life of Days, appeared in 1988, The Hour of Disguise, Writing Sparrow Hill, and The Deepest Part of the Lake. His 2004 memoir, The Boy in the Green Suit, won the Australian National Biography Award. Another of his books My Life as a Traitor, written with asylum-seeker Zarah Ghahramani, was short-listed for the 2008 Prime Minister’s Literary Award. His first collaboration with Najaf Mazari, The Rugmaker of Mazar-e-Sharif, has been a set text in many schools.
