For the past 20 years Diana Taylor has served an Australian Rules Football administrator and in 2010, was appointed as a Director of the Geelong Football Club. Diana continues to hold this role and is also the Chair of the Geelong Cats’ Governance Committee. Diana started in football in the Western Region Football League and became its first female President. Diana was also the first woman appointed to the VFL Tribunal and from 2008 chaired AFL Victoria’s Fair Game Respect Matters Program, with the objective of creating more inclusive environments for women and girls in football and netball clubs.
Diana is also a qualified workplace relations and commercial lawyer with almost 20 years’ experience, and is currently the General Counsel for Netball Australia.
Diana also runs her own consultancy business, Diana Taylor Consulting, and was the 2016 Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award Victorian Winner in the Corporate and Private category. She also holds a number of other directorships, including on the boards of the Geelong Authority, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre Trust, the Barwon Sports Academy and is the Chair of Anam Cara House Geelong.
