Daniel Marshall

Biography

Daniel Marshall is a Senior Lecturer in Literature in the School of Communication and Creative Arts, and Convenor of Gender and Sexuality Studies, at Deakin University. His publications include the co-edited books Secret Histories of Queer Melbourne (ALGA, 2011; reprinted 2018) and Youth, Sexuality and Sexual Citizenship (Routledge 2018), as well as co-edited collections for Sex Education (2013), Radical History Review (2014; 2015), and The Review of Education, Pedagogy & Cultural Studies (2016).

He has previously held positions as a Research Fellow at the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society at La Trobe University, and as an invited Visiting Scholar at the Center for LGBTQ Studies (Graduate Center, City University of New York) and at the Weeks Centre for Social and Policy Research (London South Bank University). He is also a past president of the Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives.
