Catharine Lumby


Catharine Lumby is a Professor of Media at Macquarie University, formerly known as foundation director of the Journalism and Media Research Centre at UNSW and foundation Chair of the Media and Communications Department at the University of Sydney. She has received nine ARC grants and conducted numerous research projects for a diverse range of organisations, such as Google Australia and the Australian Sports Commission.

She is on the board of Rape and Domestic Violence Services Australia and sits on the Council of The National Museum of Australia. She is currently writing a biography of Frank Moorhouse which will be published in 2018.
