Angela Savage

Biography

An award-winning Melbourne writer, Angela Savage has lived and travelled extensively in Asia. Her first novel, Behind the Night Bazaar, won the 2004 Victoria Premier’s Literary Award for an unpublished manuscript. All three of her Jayne Keeney PI novels were shortlisted for Ned Kelly Awards, and The Dying Beach was also shortlisted for the 2014 Davitt Award.

Angela won the 2011 Scarlett Stiletto Award for her short story The Teardrop Tattoos, published in Crime Scenes. Angela teachers creative writing and is currently awaiting the examiners reports for her PhD in Creative Writing at Monash University.
