IT’S NOT OVER YET, BUT 2020 HAS ALREADY BEEN A LIFE, CHANGING YEAR
Non-fiction has always provided analysis, research, ideas and reflection and that has never been more important than right now. Whether a book, essay, documentary, play, poem or song, non-fiction explores real issues and tells real stories about real people who have experienced life changing, whether by choice or by circumstance.
In this, its seventh year, the Word for Word National Non-Fiction Festival takes on a new life, ‘pivoting’ (to use a buzz word) to an online format as it continues to showcase the very best non-fiction from Australia’s brightest writers and thinkers.
Life, Changing is the theme of the 2020 Online Program, and will feature a series of events encouraging connection interaction and participation, including live conversations, panel discussions, workshops, and special presentations across three days from 20-22 November 2020.
Engaging and intellectually stimulating sessions will explore a wide range of non-fiction topics on the theme of Life, Changing, including climate change, social issues, global politics, science, ageing, history and more. The program will explore non-fiction across a range of mediums, including memoir and biography, journalism, documentary, play-writing, songwriting and poetry.
The full program will be announced and tickets are on sale from October 1. For early announcements and giveaways subscribe to our eNews HERE
